A Note From Brandine
I’m Brandine Strand, the founder of Best French Bulldog, an entrepreneur, consultant and devoted Frenchie mom.
I love French Bulldogs, and I love helping the people who care for them. This site is a passion project for me. I want it to be a place where that love turns into something useful: clearer information, more thoughtful choices and a little more confidence in the day-to-day of being a Frenchie parent.
Before creating Best French Bulldog, I founded Cali Raw Nutrition, a home-delivery raw dog food company. Working in that business deepened my interest in owner education and the questions people ask about their dogs’ care. I bring that entrepreneurial experience and my own experience as a dog owner to this site. I’m an owner and educator, not a veterinarian.
Fresh and raw feeding are part of my personal perspective. They are also topics that deserve careful discussion of the evidence, nutritional adequacy and safety. My own choices are not a prescription for every Frenchie or every family.
Bodhi is my French Bulldog and the face you will see around the site. He is a big part of the heart behind this project. The decisions we make for our dogs matter to me, and I want the information here to reflect that care.

Prevention and Everyday Care
Our mission is to help French Bulldogs live healthier, happier lives, with health, wellness and longevity at the heart of what we do. We believe Frenchies should have both a traditional veterinarian and an integrative veterinarian on their care team, working together around each dog’s needs.
Our integrative perspective includes an interest in nutrition, prevention and daily care alongside veterinary diagnosis and treatment. Exploring a different approach should never mean overlooking safety or delaying care that a dog needs.
Evidence With Clear Boundaries
We want to make research easier to understand without pretending every question has a simple answer. We distinguish published evidence, professional opinion and personal experience, and explain important limitations rather than treating them as fine print.
A formal veterinary review program is still being developed. We do not present a guide as veterinarian-reviewed unless a qualified reviewer is named for that guide. Our Editorial Standards explain our sourcing, corrections and commercial policies. Everything here is educational and should support, not replace, a relationship with your own veterinarian.
Their Welfare Comes First
We believe love for this breed should include honest conversations about health, responsible breeding and the dogs who need homes. We encourage prospective owners to consider rescue and to take their time with any breeder decision.
Our position is that a dog’s welfare must come before appearance, novelty or sales appeal. Breeder information should help people ask meaningful questions about health testing, living conditions and lifelong responsibility. A directory listing should never be treated as a guarantee about a dog or a breeder.
Best French Bulldog pledges 5% of its annual revenue to qualified French Bulldog rescue organizations. As our community grows, we want our support for Frenchies in need to grow with it.
