French Bulldog rescue
NorCal French Bulldog Rescue is a volunteer-run rescue that takes only purebred French Bulldogs and says it places 40 or more dogs a year. Adopters must live in Northern California. It won’t approve homes with unfenced pools or yards, or with pets that aren’t spayed or neutered. When we checked, owner surrenders were on hold because the rescue was near capacity.
Rescue Frenchies often arrive with breathing, spine, skin or digestive problems, and a good rescue will tell you what’s been treated and what still needs care. Ask for the dog’s vet records, plan for follow-up visits, and read our French Bulldog health problems guide so you know what to watch for.
Sources: the rescue’s own website and public nonprofit records, checked October 2026. Available dogs, fees and adoption areas change, so confirm with the rescue before you apply.
