Why this matters for Frenchie owners
Neck pressure can make breathing harder for flat-faced breeds, which is why vets commonly recommend a harness instead of collar corrections for French Bulldogs. Reward-based trainers work without leash pops, prong or shock collars, which keeps the airway out of the lesson. Our French Bulldog training guide explains why force-free methods work for this breed.
