Flat-faced breed rescue
SNORT is an all-volunteer rescue for flat-faced breeds, and most of its dogs are French Bulldogs, along with Boston Terriers, English Bulldogs and Pugs. It pulls dogs from shelters and takes them from owners who can’t keep them, then places them in foster homes across the Northeast. Some special-needs dogs stay in hospice foster care for life. Adopting means an online application with a fee, a phone interview and a home visit once you’re matched.
Rescue Frenchies often arrive with breathing, spine, skin or digestive problems, and a good rescue will tell you what’s been treated and what still needs care. Ask for the dog’s vet records, plan for follow-up visits, and read our French Bulldog health problems guide so you know what to watch for.
Sources: the rescue’s own website and public nonprofit records, checked October 2026. Available dogs, fees and adoption areas change, so confirm with the rescue before you apply.
