Georgia English Bulldog Rescue
English and French Bulldog rescue
About This Rescue
Don’t let the name fool you: Georgia English Bulldog Rescue takes French Bulldogs too. The Atlanta rescue rehabilitates sick, neglected and injured bulldogs, and its website says 30 to 40 English or French Bulldogs are in volunteer foster homes at any time. It considers out-of-state adopters case by case, but you have to pick your dog up by car because it doesn’t fly or ship dogs. Its yearly Bully Ball has raised more than $2.3 million over 17 years.

Before you apply
Rescue Frenchies often arrive with breathing, spine, skin or digestive problems, and a good rescue will tell you what’s been treated and what still needs care. Ask for the dog’s vet records, plan for follow-up visits, and read our French Bulldog health problems guide so you know what to watch for.
